About the Project
Universus is an auto battler simulation prototype created as a pitch for a networked arcade system between Ontario Tech University and Durham College, funded by Full Circle CS.
Schools can gain units by playing the Pachinko machine, and once per day a battle will commence between both sides. Whoever has the most surviving units at the end gain a school leaderboard point!

As the leading System & Character Designer, I was responsible for:
- Directing the development of an easy-to-use Pachinko arcade machine scoring system
- Designing a comprehensible loop and systems that were complete within 2 weeks
- Creating a homogenous basic fighting troop, its attack cycle, damage states, and combat system
- Iterating extensively with QA testing
- Designing all visual effects
